About
If I’ve learned anything over the years, it’s this: the most meaningful recognition isn’t the kind you collect for yourself. It’s the kind you watch others step into. My true reward is seeing my students move from uncertainty to clarity, from hesitation to conviction—watching them find their voice, sharpen their craft, and realize they’re capable of more than they imagined. There’s nothing like witnessing someone pour themselves into an idea, refine it through critique and persistence, and then see that dedication meet the world and be met with respect.

Over a ten-year period, I had the privilege of helping my students reach the highest levels of achievement at the American Advertising Awards in Raleigh, North Carolina. Together, they earned 59 Gold and Silver awards—a testament not only to talent, but to long nights, relentless revisions, and an uncommon willingness to keep pushing when “good” would have been easier. And for six consecutive years, they achieved Best of Show—not as a lucky streak, but as a sustained standard of excellence. Those honors matter, yes—but what matters more is what they represent: students who learned to trust their ideas, to defend their choices, and to build work with intention, courage, and heart.
That is the reward I create for—the moment the spotlight finds them, and they’re ready for it.
